In accordance with the thrust of the Department  of Health towards a comprehensive public health program that is hospital-based, the Public Health and Domiciliary Unit of the Lung Center of the Philippines was created.

Objective:

1. To perform the functions of a hospital-based unit designed to serve the health needs of the community pertaining to lung and other chest diseases

2. To perform all other outpatient health functions of the Lung Center in terms of training and research

3. To promote the efficient delivery of domiciliary care to the Lung Center patients
